Quieter, wider beaches further along the south coast
Tangalle has a slower pace than the busier towns further up the coast — long, wide sandy beaches, fewer crowds, and a mix of quiet fishing-village atmosphere and boutique villa stays.

More boutique villas and higher-end stays relative to backpacker guesthouses, spread along a longer, less concentrated stretch of coast than Unawatuna or Mirissa.
