Best time to go
Whale watching trips typically run from around November to April, when the sea is generally calmer — sightings are never guaranteed on any given trip. General beach conditions follow the same south coast pattern, driest November–April.
Getting there
Reachable by private transfer from Arugam Bay (see our dedicated route page) or from Colombo Airport, often combined with a Weligama or Galle stop.
